The Fundamental Theorem of Algebra and its proofs

Abstract

Though the fundamental theorem of algebra is of algebraic nature, it can be proved by a variety of methods. The purpose of this thesis is to provide several of its proofs from the perspectives of algebra, analysis and topology respectively. I believe this project will be a very good summary and application of the knowledge that I have learned from my undergraduate studies, especially as it utilizes knowledge from different fields of Mathematics.
